The early, early line is out on the opening week of college football and Florida State is more than a touchdown favorite over Ole Miss.

SLIDESHOW_orlandoKickoff2016    According to 5Dimes, Jimbo Fisher’s team opens as an 8.5-point favorite over the Rebels in the neutral site game that will be played in Orlando at the stadium formerly known as the Citrus Bowl. The line comes out a week after Ole Miss’ program, already having been investigated by the NCAA and slapped with several violations, is again in the spotlight after Laremy Tunsil’s social media accounts were hacked, one showing him smoking from a bong with a gas mask over his face another revealing a conversation in which Tunsil was asking a member of the athletic department for money. Tunsil later admitted he took the money.

Both teams are in the top 15 of most of the early preseason polls with the latest – Sports Illustrated – placing FSU at No. 3 and Ole Miss at No. 12.

ESPN’s updated Football Power Index has FSU No. 1 and Ole Miss 7.

The game is scheduled for 8 p.m. on Monday (Labor Day), Sept. 5.
