Florida State’s sidelines were full of recruits during Saturday’s spring game in Orlando. Here some updates.

Warchant reports that Khalan Laborn, Rivals’ No. 3 running back in the 2017 class, was impressed with the Seminoles’ offense.

“I had a great visit for the FSU spring game. I loved it,” Laborn said. “All the backs were used in a lot of different ways, both running the ball and also in the passing game. It was a great experience, and I had fun hanging out with some of the signees.”

Laborn, from Virginia Beach, has been FSU’s top running back target for some time and, according to Rivals, they have been in constant contact. Laborn recently attended FSU’s Junior Day.

Laborn met with Jimbo Fisher following the spring game.

“He said I’m a great player and he loved to have me here,” he said. “We have a great relationship, and I feel very comfortable with him and Coach (Jay) Graham.”

Laborn has set June 3 for decision day. He also has Georgia, North Carolina, Ohio State and Virginia Tech high on his list.

“I liked what I saw. FSU is a great place to be, and I do feel comfortable there.”

Cornerback Stanford Samuels III, who has reportedly favored Florida State, told 247Sports he is down four schools and all are even.

Samuels, a five-star prospect from Hollywood-Flanagan, is ranked as the No. 4 cornerback nationally according to 247Sports composite. He listed FSU, Michigan, Georgia and Alabama as all even.

Samuels said he plans to make his decision this summer and he plans to enroll early. Samuels’ father, Stanford Samuels Jr, played at FSU from 2000-03.

With Palm Beach Gardens LB VanDarius Cowan decommitting from FSU for the second time in six months, the Seminoles have moved on to James Houston of Fort Lauderdale-American Heritage, reports Noles247.

Houston, a three-star prospect, attended Saturday’s game with his former teammate and FSU 2016 signee, DE Brian Burns.

“I loved it. The guys looked really good,” Houston said. “They have great linebackers. I feel like the coaches do a really good job with them because they improve every time I see them.”

Houston attended the Florida spring game Friday will visit Southern Cal and Cal.
